Hawaii and especially the island of Kauai are world class. We spent our winter vacation there. The fish is great, the locals are nice and the weather is tropically pleasant. You have to bear in mind that the prices are very high overall, both for restaurants and hotels. We had an apartment, which worked very well. I recommend Hawaii for hikers, nature lovers and families.
