I spent almost a whole two weeks in California and Los Angeles and really enjoyed my time there. Even though the prices are of course very high compared to other major cities around the world, I think it's definitely worth the trip. You see all the famous places and scenery that you know so well from movies and TV, and it feels like you can now explore a dream world that you once had yourself. I had no problems getting around the city even without a rental car, the public transport is really well developed and you can reach every corner of the city by car or on foot. I can definitely recommend a helicopter flight over the city, which isn't exactly cheap of course, but it really is one of the best experiences of my life.

We finally fulfilled our dream and traveled to Los Angeles. You absolutely have to have driven through Hollywood and seen the professional houses. A visit to Universal Studios is also highly recommended. We also treated ourselves to a helicopter ride over Beverly Hills and the Hollywood sign. You should definitely not miss out on that either. Unfortunately, the prices are very high everywhere and for everything. Parking is also a bit difficult.
