Stockholm Reviews

I enjoyed my vacation in Stockholm because it is characterized by a really distinctive cultural diversity. The numerous museums were a particular highlight for me. I also liked the old town (Gamla Stan), where I had the pleasure of trying some really local food, Köttbullar. I would say it is quite easy to get around Stockholm as the metro network is well developed.
I mostly visited museums in Stockholm, including the ABBA Museum and the Swedish History Museum, but my highlight was definitely the Prince Eugens Waldemarsudde, which is a former palace.
What struck me during my trip were the artistically cut-out subway stations, some of which were very beautiful to look at.
I would say Stockholm is interesting because modernity and history meet here and harmonize in a beautiful way

Beautiful architecture (e.g. the Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde)

Changeable weather
Art and culture lovers
Stockholm combines history, culture and nature in perfect harmony. We strolled through the picturesque streets of the old town, Gamla Stan, explored innovative museums, such as Fotografiska, and simply enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the city. Stockholm offers a mix of tradition and modernity, absolutely worth seeing.

I was in Stockholm with my family in January. Unfortunately, I have to say that I didn't like the city all that much. This was mainly due to the absurdly high local prices and the fact that everything was very crowded. Nevertheless, the city also has its charms: there are some free attractions (parliament) and you can actually discover everything on foot. We also had an incredibly beautiful snowfall during our stay, which, unlike in Germany, didn't paralyze everything.
A (free) highlight can be a visit to the Swedish Parliament, in front of which Greta Thunberg started her protests. Not far away, you can visit the Museum of Modern Art. For something a little more unusual, you can spend the night in a decommissioned Boeing 747 near the airport. And snacking on a local cinnamon bun is of course an absolute must!
On the way from the airport to the city, do not use the expensive, simple options, but take the commuter train. This option is considerably cheaper!
If you want to see some snow in winter, it's almost guaranteed in Stockholm!

Easy to explore on foot and by public transport
Overrun by tourists
High accommodation prices and generally high prices

The journey by train went smoothly. The city itself is incredibly beautiful and really very diverse, the different neighborhoods have a lot to offer. There are great second-hand stores and cafés everywhere, but they don't open until quite late. Otherwise I liked it a lot
The most beautiful city I've ever been to. Great to walk around. Good coffee. Food was okay too.

Stockholm was a very nice time for me, mostly because you meet nice people wherever you go. In all the bars and restaurants I went to, I had really nice conversations and moments that are very precious to me. You have to see Stockholm once! It has everything you need, from big city flair to beautiful nature.
