We only drove from the airport to the harbor. However, you could already see there that it is a super beautiful island. The sea was bright blue. The beaches we were able to discover all looked very well-kept. There were lots of boats out at sea that you could hire. There were nice little stores at the harbor itself, with super friendly locals. We were there for a total of 2 days (arrival and departure day). We would definitely have liked to have seen more of the island. Great weather in December (around 20 degrees). Overall, thumbs up.
We sailed from Gran Canaria on the AIDAcosma. We were only able to explore the area around the port. We were struck by the beautiful beaches and the small boats in the sea that you could hire there.

A vacation that we will probably repeat due to the weather conditions. The children will remember it fondly, especially because of the camel ride and the aquarium. A convertible ride provides variety and is also a good way to explore the other beaches.
We took a great convertible ride along the coast with the children and that was definitely our highlight! The second highlight was the camel ride in the dunes. The sandy beach was also a dream and the water was just great.
There is a large, new saltwater aquarium! It has the largest saltwater pool in the world and is well worth seeing!
The weather is very nice even in winter, you don't sweat, it's not too hot but warm and it's great for swimming!

We traveled to Gran Canaria at the end of July, beginning of August. We went to Maspalomas in the south of the island. The place is known for its beautiful weather, beaches and dunes. We went to Las Palmas, which is a lovely city to explore, and to Playa del Ingles beach, where you can eat very well at the Tipsy Hammock bar and enjoy the sea.

Our four-day trip to Gran Canaria in November was an unforgettable adventure full of diverse experiences. The decision to explore the island in a rental car proved to be a stroke of luck, as it gave us the freedom to discover the breathtaking nature and cultural treasures at our own pace. The first highlight of our trip was a visit to the nature park, where fascinating flora and fauna awaited us. The rental car tour allowed us to get off the beaten track and explore charming villages and impressive coastlines. The decision to pick up the rental car directly at the airport proved to be particularly wise as it gave us the flexibility to visit remote places and experience the true beauty of the island. A culinary highlight was a visit to a local restaurant that showcased authentic Canarian cuisine at its best. The island offers a wide range of restaurants that stand out for their quality and variety, as we were able to find out from Google reviews before the trip. The sun-drenched days in Maspalomas and Canjuing left lasting impressions. The endless beaches and dunes of Maspalomas invited us to relax, while Canjuing delighted us with its picturesque stretches of coastline. The diving adventure off the coast was another highlight that brought us closer to the colorful underwater world. The waterfalls in the middle of the island held a special place in our hearts. Their majestic sight and the refreshing water provided a welcome change from the coastal landscapes. For future trips, we recommend choosing a hotel in the quieter southern region rather than staying in the capital Las Palmas. This choice promises a more relaxed atmosphere and easier access to the beautiful sand dunes of Maspalomas and the impressive waterfalls in the center of the island. Gran Canaria completely impressed us with its variety of activities, ease of transportation and culinary delights. This trip is highly recommended not only for couples of all ages, but also for families, as the island has something for everyone.

I traveled to Gran Canaria with my girlfriend at the end of July/beginning of August. Our accommodation was in Maspalomas, in the south of the island. The weather is much better in the south than in the north of the island. Maspalomas is known for its beautiful beaches and dunes. We took a day trip to Las Palmas. There we went to Playa de Ingles beach and ate at the Tipsy Hammock restaurant with a sea view.
