There are still some really beautiful places on the Costa Blanca, such as Calp. Unfortunately, as in most regions here, much of the local charm has been destroyed by mass tourism. The beaches are mostly clean so far, the sea is also clear, but there are few beaches that are really empty and quiet, at most a bay. The hinterland, however, is often completely free of tourism and therefore worth a detour. The food around the Costa Blanca was consistently very good and fresh.
