My travel experience in Faro was really great! I was particularly impressed by the beautiful beaches and the friendly people. I enjoyed relaxing in the cozy cafes and tasting the local cuisine. It was quite easy to get around Faro as the city is relatively compact and public transportation is readily available. On my next trip, I would perhaps avoid the crowded tourist spots and instead spend more time in the lesser-known areas to experience the authentic atmosphere even more intensely.

An exciting, somewhat smaller city with beautiful nature all around. I arrived by train and therefore didn't have a car, but this wasn't a problem as it's easy to get around on foot or by bus. My favorites were the Municipal Museum of Faro and the Forum Algarve. O Castello is a nice restaurant with a sea view.

We spent a week's vacation in Faro and were extremely satisfied. In June, the weather was perfect at 29 degrees, as there is always nice air and windy cooling due to the sea. The beaches were all clean and well maintained. Only the beach chairs were very expensive in some places. That's why we didn't always book one. The historic old town (Old Town Faro) is beautiful.

From the airport you can take a bus to the train station and on to Albufeira, Tavira or Olhão. From the port in Faro, you can take various excursions to the islands. In the city center of Faro you can listen to fado, eat well and explore the Ria Formosa and its rich and unique biology.

Faro was an experience in itself. At first I thought about relaxing there, but then I spontaneously decided to join a few, which not only brought me new people, but also a lot of fun. The old town is also very beautiful, there are lots of stores where you can browse and find great, unique things.
