We were in Rotterdam as part of a cruise & therefore got two cities for the price of one: as Rotterdam is not too far from Amsterdam, we were able to visit both cities. One of the highlights in Rotterdam was the Erasmus Bridge, but you should admire it from further away, because if you are too close to it, you won't realize the scale of the bridge. Another tip is the Prachtig restaurant, which is right nearby. Here, however, you pay for the ambience. Another highlight was the many cruise ships that had docked so you could experience them up close. However, there is a lot of traffic in the city and we were very glad that we took a bike tour and were able to use the small side streets. And what you should definitely visit is the botanical garden Arboretum Tromoenburg.

The trip to Amsterdam, was very nice, we arrived and saw the beautiful big buildings and were amazed. The free boat trips that are sponsored by the city, as they are considered public transportation there, are also great, plus you meet lots of new people from different nations, but it's all very expensive there and the parking is very expensive. I ate fish and chips on the beach, and I liked the coffee shops best. It's very easy to get around there using public transport.

We visited Rotterdam as we were on a tour of the Netherlands in June. We were in Rotterdam on a Saturday and loved it there. The parking options were limited due to more expensive parking garages. Through the website "Parkbee" we were able to find a reasonably priced parking garage and parked there. Then we rented a bike through an app and rode it around for 2-3 hours. During the bike tour, we stopped at a restaurant and ate. The restaurant was on the riverbank, so we had a great view. This restaurant was called "PRACHTIG". As cycling is very popular in the Netherlands, it is also easy to get around by bike as there are cycle paths everywhere. In the evening you can stand on the bridge and watch the sunset. A very beautiful place that you definitely have to visit.

Rotterdam is a very beautiful and lively city with many skyscrapers and the largest port in Europe. You can eat internationally, the only downside is that it's a bit expensive. The city is surrounded by water everywhere, so you can go for a nice walk.
