Our visit to Lucca was really great, we parked in a centrally located free parking lot and walked to the city walls in just a few minutes. What's particularly great is that you can also walk along the city wall. There are quite a few tourists in the old town and there are lovely squares with restaurants and cafés that invite you to linger. The old buildings, towers and churches are impressive and very nice to visit. You can easily spend one or more days here.

Beautiful old town, which is almost car-free and therefore invites you to stroll around. There are countless cafes, bars and restaurants, most of which have outdoor seating. There are also many small stores with beautiful things. The old buildings are absolutely stunning.
Hidden gems
The Restaurante Stella Polar was beautifully situated. The food was typical for the region and very, very tasty.
