We had our stay in Torbole and took a day trip to Malcesine. A tip right from the start: it's best to get there as early as possible, as it gets incredibly crowded during the morning, with tourists after tourists arriving in the town. We therefore took the first ferry, which took about 45 minutes. Here we had the opportunity to watch the water sports enthusiasts around Malcesine, which was very interesting. The town itself is rather small and there are no wide streets, just small alleyways everywhere and it's easy to lose track of where you are. There are also lots of small stores selling pottery, jewelry, food, etc. Tip: Compare the prices here, because many stores offer exactly the same things, but the prices are different. If you have to wait for the ferry back, enjoy a focaccia from the 'Rewind' snack bar.

Malcesine is a beautiful town on Lake Garda. It has beautiful nature and lots of romantic alleyways. The castle was very interesting and the tour was great fun. The beach at the exit of the castle was very nice and probably the best on Lake Garda. The alleyways were very charming, but unfortunately most of what was on offer there was very overpriced. We ate in a restaurant right on the water. The food was unfortunately ice cold and not tasty. Getting around the place was very easy, by boat or bike. On my next visit, I would definitely try to arrive in a month when it is not so crowded and overcrowded. Nevertheless, a very beautiful and charming place, one of the best on Lake Garda.

The boat trip from Malcesine to Limone was very romantic and highly recommended. The castle and the accompanying tour were also beautiful. The unique, cute alleyways in the town add an extra bonus to the visit.
Hidden gems
An insider tip is the beach right next to the exit of the castle. It was very beautiful and, in my opinion, one of the best in the region.
