As the Irish capital, Dublin has a lot to offer. You can take the train to the cliffs of Howth and enjoy the fresh sea air or visit one of the many traditional whiskey distilleries. The food is British in style and unfortunately often rather unhealthy. In the countless pubs you can enjoy a variety of local beers and listen to live music in the evening. Unfortunately, Dublin is not a very clean city and the cityscape reflects its industrial character. Nevertheless, it is well worth a visit.

The 3-day trip to Dublin was impressive! Unfortunately, the bad weather accompanied us as we explored. On the first day we visited Dublin Castle and enjoyed local food in a cozy pub near the North Cemetery. The Temple Bar district was our meeting point for the evening each day. The imposing St. Patrick's Cathedral was a major highlight of the trip. Overall, it was an unforgettable trip full of culture and nice people.

Highligts

The pubs are the absolute highlight of the city. The live music is particularly noteworthy. St. Stephens Green is a great place to relax. Visiting the Convention Center was also a lot of fun.

Hidden gems

The Gravedigger pub in the north of the city serves great food. Pub crawls on Friday and Saturday evenings can be booked and are highly recommended.

Destination recommendation

Irish welcome culture and party feeling are the perfect reason for me to travel to Dublin.

The center of Dublin around the Temple Bar area is highly recommended and always worth a visit. There are many bars here with tourists from all over the world. The bars are always full and music is played in every bar. Often live music too. Everything in Dublin is within walking distance. Unfortunately, it's not cheap in the city. Both food and drinks are more expensive than average.

Highligts

Temple bar. Pub crawl. Old town in Dublin. River in Dublin

Hidden gems

The Tempelbar is highly recommended. The beer is great!

I think Dublin is definitely worth a trip. You gain a lot of impressions there and learn English. I never felt uncomfortable there. I really liked the tiny hidden beach on Howth and the General Post Office, as you get an insight into the nature and history of Dublin. I ate in small restaurants. It's very easy to get around on foot or by public transport. I wouldn't avoid anything, it was all very nice.

I was in Dublin with my girlfriend for 3 days in February. I have to say that we didn't really like the city compared to the hype surrounding it. The weather was typically rainy Irish, maybe it's more pleasant in summer. One negative thing we noticed was that everything is insanely expensive. The opening hours (especially of museums) are also quite short, which surprised us for a European capital. Next time we would perhaps concentrate more on the hinterland and keep the visit to Dublin short.

Highligts

One highlight was a trip to Howth. Here you can get a taste of the Irish countryside half an hour from the city center. We also enjoyed a visit to the National Gallery of Ireland. I personally also liked the Chester Beatty.

Hidden gems

If you want to visit many sites, we recommend the Heritage Card, especially for students. This offers unlimited entry to all attractions managed by the Office for Public Works for one year.

Destination recommendation

In Dublin, you can get a taste of Irish life without having to get involved too much

Pros

Cheap Guinness

Cons

Everything closes early

Absurdly high hotel prices

Holiday homes and apartments Dublin - a dream holiday for everyone

The location of Dublin apartments will allow you to get to any sightseeing spot quickly and efficiently. Families with children should first of all visit Dublin Zoo, founded in 1830, where you will find extraordinary specimens of flora and fauna from all over the world. Walking enthusiasts will be surprised by the number of city parks. One of the most popular and the largest city park in Europe is Phoenix Park. This place impresses not only with its size, but also with its fantastic wildlife. If you are lucky, you may see a small herd of deer. The parks are perfect not only for relaxing and quiet walks, but also for cycling or running. For those planning a longer stay in Ireland, we also recommend visiting cities like Cork, Swords and Galway.

Holidays in Dublin - discover a vibrant city, full of historic monuments and entertainment

Even the most demanding tourist will find for himself plenty of attractions, because Dublin is famous for its huge number of luxuries. One of the must-see places on your map should be St. Patrick's Cathedral, the patron saint of Ireland, built in neo-Gothic style. It is the largest church in the country. Other sights worth seeing include the 13th century King's Castle, which was originally the home of the Vikings, Ireland's oldest university - Trinity College, the National Gallery of European Art and the Guiness Brewery, the world famous Irish beer. To unwind after a busy day, it is best to head to holiday cottage Dublin. If you don't like long walks, an equally good way to get to know the city is by taking the double-decker bus, from where you can admire Dublin's remarkable architecture.

In the evening you should take a stroll along the banks of the River Liffey and go to one of the many pubs that are bustling with activity almost every day. Make sure to visit Temple Bar, which is a district of pubs, bars and restaurants that hosts numerous events and concerts. These establishments serve the world famous Irish liquor as well as local dishes and snacks. You can also buy traditional beer or whisky and enjoy it with friends in one of the Dublin Apartments. The locals are very friendly, so be prepared for a wild night out with great company and Irish music. If Dublin doesn't satisfy your thirst for knowledge about this beautiful country, you should also visit the Isle of Man, Sligo and Wexford.
