My partner and I had 3 lovely days in Bergen on Rügen in April. We particularly liked the quiet location of the island and the quick and convenient train connections. We arrived by ICE train. Unfortunately, we felt that there were not enough public toilets available. There were also not many litter bins to be found in some places on the island.
We really liked the main town on the island of Rügen. I did a lot of hiking on Rügen. In summer, the beaches are great for swimming. We rented bicycles.
Explore the Stubbenkammer on your own. Stroll to the church square in Bergen in the evening.
Good public transport connections and friendly locals.

Wellness and relaxation
Rügen is one of the most beautiful islands in Germany. That's why my mother bought a house there after we went on vacation. Rügen is simply unique. The long white sandy beaches with the turquoise water really surprised me. There are national parks, forests, cliffs and beautiful beaches everywhere, great restaurants and excellent shopping opportunities. As we have a house there, I go to the island several times a year for a short break.

We enjoyed the towns of Binz, Sassnitz and Sellin the most. The treetop path on Rügen is highly recommended and everyone should have seen Prora. There are many good restaurants in Binz, which were not too crowded in the low season. The best way to explore the island is by car or on the Bäderbahn. On my next trip I would choose a different accommodation in Binz.
Many sights such as Prora, Binz, Granitz hunting lodge. There was a very nice sand sculpture exhibition in Prora at the time. The speeding Roland is also well worth seeing.
Very beautiful places are the stone beach in Sassnitz or the pier in Binz. The speeding Roland train is also well worth seeing.
