I don't live far from Nuremberg, and yet it's always a highlight to go into the city center. There are lots of stores for shopping, but it's also worth visiting the Lorenzkirche. I was last there at Christmas time and the Christmas market there is one of the most beautiful there is. Especially as there is also a children's Christmas market. Tip: spin the golden ring on the beautiful fountain three times and make a wish, because legend has it that it will come true if you do. The large cinema, not far from the city center, is also worth a visit (Cinecita). Restaurant tip: Kokono
Church of St. Lawrence. Ride on the Bimmelbahn. Craftsmen's yard. The big Cinecita movie theater.

Nuremberg is a really beautiful city. I would definitely mention the Toy Museum as a highlight. This unique exhibition is suitable for both children and adults. Nuremberg Castle is also a wonderful destination for an excursion. This is where culture and horror meet. I recommend the Burgerheart restaurant for a meal. Overall, I can recommend the city of Nuremberg.
I was absolutely thrilled by the toy museum. The entrance fee is fair and the exhibition offers a good mix of culture and fun.
Nuremberg Castle is a fascinating building that is not often visited.
I recommend the destination.

Nuremberg is perfect for a weekend trip. The city center and the castle in particular are highly recommended. You can easily reach everything on foot from the train station, as the city is very compact. The castle hill offers a beautiful view of Nuremberg. Trying out the Franconian cuisine is definitely a must. I particularly like the Schäufele. If you come here in winter, you should also visit the Christmas market.
Very nice city center. The zoo and the castle are definitely worth a visit!
Be sure to try the Franconian cuisine, the food tastes great.
Nuremberg is great for a day trip as it is not too small or too big and has a lot to offer.

I arrived by train and at first I was shocked because the station looked a bit run-down, but shortly after I left the station everything was fine again and I was very taken with the style of the city. Exciting sights, in my opinion, are the Germanic museum, the beautiful fountain and the memorial to the Nuremberg trials. I was able to get around the city easily by public transport.

So my trip to Nuremberg was really cool! The old town was pretty cozy, with the old half-timbered houses and such. The Imperial Castle was also pretty impressive, a real piece of history. In terms of food, I was lucky. A small restaurant served really tasty local dishes. Bratwurst and sauerkraut - I couldn't get enough! And then I tried some really good Nuremberg gingerbread in a bakery. It was actually easy to get around in Nuremberg. Public transport was okay and many sights were within walking distance. Next time I would perhaps avoid the crowded tourist hotspots. Sometimes it was a bit crowded, especially in the old town. But otherwise it was a really relaxed trip!
