I was very surprised by Brandenburg. During my stay, I was impressed by the varied landscape, the historic cities and the numerous leisure activities. The city of Potsdam was one of the highlights of my trip. The rich history, impressive architecture and enchanting parks made a deep impression on me. I was particularly fascinated by Sanssouci Park with its imposing palaces and the breathtaking Sanssouci Palace. It was a pleasure to stroll through the extensive gardens and get to know the historical atmosphere. Another highlight was the city of Brandenburg an der Havel. The old town with its historic buildings and narrow streets has a special charm. I enjoyed walking through the cobbled streets and getting to know the medieval atmosphere. The Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul was an impressive building that dominated the city skyline. In terms of food, I tried some delicious local dishes. I found a cozy café on the Neuer Markt in Potsdam where I had a delicious potato salad. I opted for a traditional restaurant in Brandenburg an der Havel, where I could enjoy traditional dishes of regional cuisine. Getting around Brandenburg was extremely straightforward. The cities are easily accessible by public transport and many sights can be reached on foot. You can also explore the beautiful countryside by bike. I intend to avoid the peak season on my next trip to Brandenburg. Especially in Potsdam and other popular cities, it can be quite crowded at peak times. This would be my preferred time to explore the sights in peace and quiet and experience the atmosphere even more intensely.

Brandenburg, the land of lakes and forests, enchanted me with its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. My stay in this region was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and gave me the opportunity to explore the picturesque countryside and idyllic villages. During my visit to Brandenburg, I particularly enjoyed the tranquillity and serenity of the surroundings. I took walks along the shores of Lake Scharmützel and was impressed by the green splendor of the Spreewald. The historic old town of Potsdam with its magnificent palaces and gardens was also a highlight of my trip. A culinary highlight was my visit to a cozy restaurant in Brandenburg an der Havel, where I tried traditional regional dishes such as Spreewald gherkin soup and sauerbraten. The fresh ingredients and loving preparation made the meal an unforgettable experience. An insider tip for nature lovers is a trip to the Märkische Schweiz Nature Park, where you can discover the region's diverse flora and fauna on picturesque hiking trails. A visit to Neuzelle Monastery, one of the most beautiful baroque ensembles in Brandenburg, is also highly recommended. On my next visit to Brandenburg, I would avoid focusing exclusively on the larger cities such as Potsdam and instead explore the more rural regions and hidden treasures of nature. It's worth getting off the beaten track and discovering the untouched beauty of Brandenburg in all its diversity.

My boyfriend and I received a weekend vacation in Brandenburg as a Christmas present. We were very surprised at all the things you can experience in Brandenburg. We especially loved the thermal baths in Bad Saarow and Lake Scharmützelsee. The area around Scharmützelsee was the ideal place for us to relax. In general, there are many forests in Brandenburg that invite you to take a leisurely stroll. It's also definitely worth renting a bike in Brandenburg and exploring the area. Another insider tip is Karl's strawberry farm for all strawberry-related products and an adventure village.

Perfectly compatible with a visit to Berlin

I live in Brandenburg and find the nature very beautiful and I also think that you have many leisure activities and many shopping centers because you live near Berlin. There is a lot to experience here, whether big or small. However, I don't think it's so nice that the atmosphere in Brandenburg is coordinated by Berlin because there are so many cars there
