We were in Berlin just before Christmas. The Christmas markets there are highly recommended. Especially the Gendarmenmarkt. The prices are of course quite high. We had a great central hotel from which we were able to explore many things on foot. We used e-scooters for the more distant sights. The parking fees are absolutely fair. Of course, many things are very crowded with tourists, but the capital city vibe is something special.

Highligts

We explored Berlin with the e-scooters. There are many sights to see. Great hotels at great prices. Nice at Christmas time.

Hidden gems

Insider tip: the Gendarmenmarkt at Christmas time. The Brandenburg Gate is an absolute highlight.

Destination recommendation

I would travel to Berlin again at any time.

The whole travel experience was good. You had lots of opportunities to do things there. For example, you can visit many places such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Wall or the Reichstag. We ate in Italian restaurants. It's easy to get around using public transport. On my next trip, I would avoid traveling with small children, as Berlin is not made for them. Berlin is a city for couples. You can go out to eat much better as a couple. For example, Bellucci is a good place to eat. The atmosphere is really unique. Berlin is also very open and the people there are also very nice. For me, Berlin is one of the nicest cities. We spent the nights in the Meininger Hotel, which was also very good. All in all, I can recommend Berlin, as it also has a good nightlife, with clubs and so on.

Highligts

The highlights were Charlottenburg Palace and the television tower. These places represented the town well. They were also very beautiful. You have to go there if you are in Berlin.

Hidden gems

An insider tip is the Gendarmenmarkt. There are not so many people there, but it is very beautiful.

Destination recommendation

I recommend this destination to couples.

Berlin is always worth a visit, as the saying goes. There are many beautiful places to see. This weekend, for example, we visited the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of the Future, the Futurium. Our children weren't the only ones who enjoyed it, as we are always impressed and have been there several times. The trip to Berlin is rounded off by many small pubs and restaurants, which always offer the possibility of a super good meal.

Highligts

We visited the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of the Future, the Futurium. Not only our children but also we were very impressed.

Hidden gems

Small pubs everywhere make the excursions a culinary journey of discovery.

Berlin is always worth a visit, this is not just a saying but reality

For me, Berlin is Germany's most diverse and vibrant city. Every time I have traveled there, I have always been impressed by the people. Berlin is also a comparatively inexpensive city when it comes to accommodation and restaurants. The districts of Friedrichshain and Prenzlauer Berg are highly recommended - this is where the young life of Berlin takes place, with numerous unique restaurants and bars. My favorite bar is the "Kürbiskern" in Friedrichshain, because there are magicians here who perform little tricks at the table. When it comes to sightseeing, I can recommend the viewing platform of the Park Inn Hotel on Alexanderplatz, which costs a fraction of the price of the TV tower and offers a great view of the TV tower. No matter where you are in Berlin, it's worth going for a walk and simply exploring the area. The Museum Island is particularly beautiful. Getting around Berlin is very easy thanks to the well-developed public transport system. In my opinion, the destination is suitable for all ages. The city has plenty of attractions to offer and there is something for everyone.

Highligts

You should go to the Simon-Dach-Kiez and experience the bar scene there. You should also go for a walk in the museum quarter. I always enjoyed the ride on the "Welt" balloon. You should also try a kebab at Mustafas.

Hidden gems

Definitely the viewing platform at the Park Inn Hotel. Also the "Zauberbar Kürbiskern" in Friedrichshain.

Destination recommendation

In my eyes, Germany's liveliest and most diverse city.

Pros

Good selection of varied food

Many sights even for those not interested in history

Our trip to Berlin was great! We were traveling as a family with friends. The weather was great and we were able to experience a lot. We visited the Brandenburg Gate, Alexander Platz, the TV tower and the famous World Time Clock. The famous Ku'damm and Alexa were great for shopping. We then went to the large M&M store, which was over 3 floors, bigger than in New York.

Choose Berlin Holiday Rentals in a city which needs no introduction

Book Berlin apartments and stay in the capital city of one of the most beautiful and historically and culturally fascinating countries in the world. According to historical records, the city of Berlin dates back to the 13th century and throughout the years has seen its culture be shaped by some of the most important events in world history. One of the biggest events in this city was its division into West and East Berlin by the Berlin Wall.

The wall was brought down in 1989, uniting Berlin into what it is today – a splendid, culturally rich and a globally important city. Staying in the many Berlin holiday rentals will give you an opportunity to enjoy the unique cityscape of Berlin. It is a blend of sleek and modern architecture and old and historic monuments. Potsdamer Platz with its contemporary architecture seems to co-exist peacefully with the mediaeval monuments of Alexanderplatz. You can look for Berlin holiday rentals in and around the many districts that constitute Berlin, each of which has a unique characteristic beauty about it. For instance, walking through and exploring Mitte will take you through a plethora of world-envied museums and art galleries.

Berlin self catering Holiday Lettings - visit the city shaped by some of the most important historical events of the 20th century

There are several interesting museums in Berlin and choosing to stay in some of the Berlin accommodation nearby can give you an opportunity to see museums such as Museum Island, Altes Museum, Kulturforum and Museum fur Naturkunde. If your idea of a perfect holiday is to learn about the history of the place you're visiting, you can also opt for a Museum Pass, which will get you into most of the major museums in the city for a discounted price. Berlin holiday rentals are also a great way to enjoy the art galleries here, for Berlin is known as a city of art. The churches of Berlin are also a magnificent sight to behold. The almost surreally beautiful Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the Berliner Dom and the Marienkirche are sure to take your breath away, each one brimming with rich and fascinating history. The Berliner Dom has been standing since the late 19th century and the Kaiser Wilhelm dates back to 1891.

While on holiday in Berlin holiday rentals, you can also visit iconic landmarks such as the Bundestag, the German national parliament building, the Kollhoff Tower, which has Europe’s fastest elevator, and the Siegessaule, which dates back to 1865. This tower, in complete contrast to the Kollhoff Tower, has no elevator and you will have to climb around 280 steps to get to the top, but once you are there, the view and the Statue of Victoria will make the climb more than worth it. Berlin holiday rentals are also a way to catch a glimpse of the last remnant of the infamous Berlin Wall that stands in the East Side Gallery.
