We spent our winter vacation in Bavaria. As well as skiing in Grasgehren, we often went hiking in the mountains. In our opinion, Bavaria is the most scenic state in Germany. Unfortunately, this often means high prices in restaurants. The city of Munich in particular is extremely expensive. All in all, however, the vacation was always worthwhile for us, as the nature is especially beautiful in the south of Bavaria.

We were on vacation in Franconia in July 2023. We had a private vacation apartment, which was well furnished and very reasonably priced. We visited Bamberg, the old town, Bamberg Cathedral and the old town hall are very beautiful. I really liked the rose garden at the town hall with its idyllic café. The half-timbered houses are generally very beautiful. Little Venice is also highly recommended. We also visited the wildlife park in Hundshaupten. There are lots of animals to see, moose, alpacas, wild boar, donkeys etc. The park is spacious, but you should be able to walk well. It has a nice little café and is very reasonably priced.

I spent a few days in Schwangau with my wife. We used the time to switch off for a few days and enjoy the peace and quiet. We went for great walks in the beautiful sunshine. We could simply switch off and unwind. Of course, we took advantage of our proximity to a number of great lakes and visited them. A visit to Neuschwanstein Castle was also highly recommended. The climb is worth it. It takes about 45 minutes, but it's worth it for the view. Any time again.

Bavaria is the best state in all of Germany, so I highly recommend vacationing there. One reason why the Bavaria trip was one of my best vacations is the beautiful nature and landscape you can visit in Bavaria. Even if you go to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, you can go hiking in the mountains and experience the beautiful views. The people in Bavaria are also very friendly and often in a good mood. If you love nature, you will feel right at home here in Bavaria.

I live in Bavaria and wouldn't want to live anywhere else! The landscape with its rivers, but also the mountains in the south, is incredibly beautiful. My travel highlights so far have been: Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Berchtesgaden, but also a visit to the Obermaintherme in Bad Staffelstein is not to be missed. When it comes to food, I recommend everyone to try a 'Auszogen Krapfen' and a Schäufele, which you could combine with a visit to Bamberg.
