Barban dates back to the 13th century and today has churches, which display different styles, frescoes and Gothic monuments too. Take for instance, the Church of St. Nicholas that dates back to 1701. This is a wonderful Baroque church. The remains of the city walls are also worth a visit and you can also take in the Glagothic inscriptions in the Church of St. Anthony. Then there is the Rigo Palace, which dates back to 1760 and displays Central European Baroque architecture at its best.
