Culture and comfort on holiday in Heki
Staying in Heki villas can also take you on a history tour like no other destination can. Take Brtonigla, which justifies its sobriquet of ‘a small place with great discoveries’. It is overflowing with old churches, and the one that you could think of visiting is the 17th century altar of Blazena Djevica Marija which has a serene statue of Madonna and Infant. The comfortable Heki cottage rentals will also enable you to see Pomer, which has Roman remains of spas and docks. There is also the site of St. Andrew which is known as a site for graves of Roman times. The mountain village of Momjan is known for its species of songbirds and for its delicious wine. There is also the Momjan Castle, which dates back to the 12th century and its remains can still be seen and appreciated. To see nature at its best, head to the Butori Falls, which will also give you a glimpse of the Ardila River.
