Sölden is definitely a worthwhile destination in Austria. In winter, families, couples and even individual adventurers can enjoy the beautiful mountain landscapes and long pistes. However, the last time I was there was in summer, so this place is perfect for combining a biking vacation with a family vacation. It is very easy to get from A to B within the valley, as almost everything is within walking distance. However, I would still recommend a car if you want to cover longer distances. The restaurants on the mountains were always very good and we were never disappointed. All I can say is, fantastic landscapes and trails! I will definitely be back.
The bike park is wonderful and fun for both beginners and advanced riders. The restaurants are also very nice. If you don't want to bike, you can of course simply hike through the mountain landscape.
An insider tip is the Ferner Trail. This is a unique experience.
Because there are many varied activities.
Beautiful bike park with good routes
Beautiful mountain sheep
Accommodation and local restaurants quite expensive
Sometimes very long waiting times at the lift

In my opinion, Sölden is the perfect place for winter vacationers who love snow, winter sports and wellness. Despite the high level of tourism, the hospitality is warm and welcoming. For all winter sports fans, I can say that the piste preparation on the glacier is first class. Due to the high altitude, there is always plenty of snow. There are many beautiful and luxurious accommodations and each one has a very special charm. When I'm on vacation in a foreign country, I like to try traditional food. In Sölden you can find a good mix of both - traditional Austrian and international dishes - so everyone gets their money's worth here. However, you have to be aware that such a vacation is expensive. Nice accommodation and exclusive food are quite expensive. However, you get a great deal, so I think it's worth it.
Winter in Sölden is really beautiful. If you are lucky, there is a lot of snow, ideal for beautiful winter walks and winter sports. As a passionate skier, I have to say that the slopes are really incredibly well prepared. The people there, whether at the beach, restaurants or other leisure facilities, are super hospitable and accommodating. As a guest, you feel very comfortable and welcome.
Skiing on the glacier is a unique experience, as it is colder due to the altitude and therefore has better piste conditions. Insider tip: The "VAYA Hotel" is an excellent place to eat.
In my opinion, winter in Sölden is special, more special than in other Alpine regions. It feels luxurious, the people are exceptionally hospitable and the winter landscape is unbeatable.
Rich in snow
Super slopes on the glacier
There are really expensive corners
Very touristy
Wellness and relaxation
Sölden is a great ski resort that is suitable for skiers and snowboarders as well as party animals and gourmets. There are many different places to stop for refreshments, a glacier with guaranteed snow and good transport links. We stayed with a group of friends near the lift station and used the mornings for skiing and the afternoons for après-ski. I would therefore recommend the area more for young people than for families. But all in all, everyone gets their money's worth!
Enjoying the perfect weather on the glacier in Sölden. Alpine sports at its best with super slopes!
Eugen Obstlerhütte is a great stop on the descent for a drink or two.

My trip to Sölden in March was an unforgettable experience. The ski resort impressed with its perfectly groomed slopes and impressive infrastructure. The lifts were modern and comfortable, so you could get to the slopes without long waiting times. One highlight was the 15 km long descent from the summit of the Schwarzer Schneid down to the valley - one of the longest descents in Austria. The gastronomy in Sölden left nothing to be desired. For a cozy stop after skiing, we recommend the Panoramaalm right next to the piste, with its rustic ambience and Tyrolean delicacies. Getting around Sölden was very easy thanks to the well-developed bus network and the cable cars. Only the parking situation was a little tight, which is why I would recommend arriving early or using public transport for your next visit. Overall, Sölden was a great destination for a skiing vacation. The mixture of excellent piste conditions, culinary highlights and the unique mountain backdrop makes you want more. On my next visit, I will definitely check out the James Bond adventure world 007 ELEMENTS.
The ski area in Sölden is one of the best with the two glaciers. At the end of March you could still ski perfectly. Overall, the resort offers beautiful scenery and a perfect opportunity to relax
Snowpark at Gigijoch is great fun for beginners and pros alike

What I liked best were the mountain panoramas and the numerous restaurants on the mountain. The choice of dishes was always sufficient. On my next trip I will make sure to plan the journey better (route) and I will bring more friends :)
My main destination was the ski resort in Sölden. There are also some great bars, clubs and restaurants down in the valley along the main road.
There is the possibility to rent a gondola in which a dinner/brunch is then held. It is also possible to go tobogganing on individual evenings during the week.
Sölden is simply the heartbeat of the Alps and makes a great winter holiday resort every year.
Huge ski area
Many activities (tobogganing etc.)
Very expensive
