Overall, Innsbruck is really worth a visit, even if you only have a few days. The city offers everything your heart desires, city, mountains and rural areas. The fact that the city is surrounded by massive mountains is truly unique. The beautiful old buildings in the city center are a delight. Everything is easy to reach by public transport. Getting here by car is very convenient, as there is a highway all the way to Innsbruck.
Innsbruck is a great combination of city and countryside. A highlight is definitely a trip to one of the massive mountains around the city. We recommend the "Landhausplatz" and the "Golden Roof". Everything is easy to reach by public transport.
You definitely have to climb one of the mountains around Innsbruck. The Hardrock Café is always worth a visit.

Innsbruck is a very beautiful city in Austria that has a lot to offer. From good food, to a walk along the picturesque river on the edge of the city, to a visit to the ski jump, it has it all. The food there is very good and there are many cozy cafés in the city center that invite you to linger. If the weather cooperates, this visit to the city is highly recommended!

I went on a short city trip to Innsbruck in beautiful Tyrol in March 2023. The weather was great at the time. It was sunny and the snow was perfect for skiing on the nearby mountain. I often ate Kaiserschmarren and Wiener Schnitzel at the mountain hut. There are also good restaurants in Innsbruck itself. I particularly enjoyed a burrito and ordered a glass of wine to go with it.
Beautiful nature. Good food. Many sports facilities. Beautiful river.

I was in Innsbruck on business. The excellent train connections to Germany, Switzerland and Italy are very advantageous. In addition to the usual sights, I recommend a ride on the Hungerburgbahn to the Hungerburg. The restaurant "Die Seilerin" in Seilergasse is an excellent place to eat. Insider tip: a trip to the neighboring silver town of Schwaz.
